Get To Know Me
Hello and welcome to my practice! I’m Deara (pronounced d-air-ruh), and I have many years of experience as a Social Worker in various roles. I hold two degrees in Social Work: a Master’s from Springfield College in Massachusetts and a Bachelor’s from Central Connecticut State University.
With eight years in the field, I am dedicated to helping children, families, and individuals overcome the barriers they face. My primary focus is to create a relaxed and non-judgmental healing environment for all who come to see me. One thing I cannot stress enough is that therapy is all about finding the right fit. If at any point you feel that I’m not the right therapist for you, I encourage you to express that openly and without fear of my reaction. Whether you want to explore different interventions or seek a new therapist altogether, that’s perfectly okay. This journey is about you—your sessions, your choices!
Who I work well with:
I am passionate about working with individuals and families who are ready for change in their lives. My clients appreciate a therapist with whom they can be their authentic selves, knowing that their feelings and experiences will not affect the level of care they receive.
My clients come to me eager to gain the tools they need to move forward, often feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious about certain aspects of their lives. With my support, they find reassurance and a collaborative partnership that empowers them to navigate their challenges with confidence.
Just be yourself, and I’ll do the same!
